Objectives
The objective of this applied course
is to give the student practical experience in automotive repair.
Upon course completion, you will be able to perform oil
flushes, tire balancing and much more.
In this program, 80% of your time is spent in the shop aspect
of the program, and 20% of your time will be in a
classroom environment.

replacement of wipers, filters, tires &

Certificate
Upon graduation
you receive the Tire & Lube Specialist Certificate from the
Automotive Training Centre.
Placement Assistance
All graduates receive full placement support
from the Automotive Training Centre.

Be 18 years
of age to register.
Tools, Supplies and Textbook
Costs
- Textbooks are provided
- Plan for
approximately $300 for tools (list will be provided by your
instructor)
Evaluation
Evaluation is
based on the following: a final exam
(50%) and your participation and attendance will contribute
significantly to your mark as well (50 %). Finally, your level
of involvement and performance in our shops will be part of
your evaluation.
Tuition
The tuition is tax
deductible and financing is available for those who
qualify.

Man
The service man
role represents the gateway to a career in the Automotive
service industry. Should you wish to advance, you will have
the opportunity to become an apprentice who can progress to
become a certified automotive technician.

opportunities in Quebec for the tire & lube man are
excellent. There has been an increase in car sales over the
last few years, resulting in more and more cars on the road
that require service. The industry needs motivated,
well-trained individuals to respond to this growing
demand.
Salary
Potential
The average salary of a tire and lube man without
experience in Quebec ranges between $17000 and $25000 per
year. With acquired experience, the average salary ranges
between $26000 and $30000 per year.
